CHAPNET is the first European Thematic Network that has been dedicated to Cogeneration.

The project focuses on Medium and Long term R&D, and it will allow the CHP industry to plan for the future needs of customers and networks.

CHAPNET will help the European CHP business to retain its global leadership and it will facilitate cooperation across Europe through EU-funded, national and industrial programmes.

The project was launched 1 January 2002 for a period of 3 years. CHAPNET is 100% funded by the European Commission.
